Failures here are usually thermal and entirely predictable, and moving the hardware somewhere ventilated and mounted costs almost nothing.
Being this close to the water has a real effect on anything outdoors. Salt air corrodes exterior cabling, outdoor access points and connectors far faster than it does inland, so external equipment needs to be rated for it and checked rather than installed and forgotten.

A cafe was losing its EFTPOS terminal several times a day, always in the busiest hour. The terminal was fine. Guest Wi-Fi, the till and the office were on one network behind a consumer router that ran out of connection capacity whenever the courtyard filled with phones. Separated the guest network, moved the till to cable, replaced the router with business hardware — no dropouts since, and the card readings stopped being an argument with customers.
