Each has its own mix of tenancy and building age, so what a job involves varies more here than it does on the bayside.
What is distinctive here is tenancy structure. A large share of Gold Coast businesses sit in serviced offices, strata buildings or coworking floors where the network belongs to the building rather than to you. Your own segment, your own device security and backups that do not depend on infrastructure you cannot see are not optional extras in that situation; they are the baseline.
A job in Southport
A law firm in a serviced building discovered its file share was reachable from the building’s guest Wi-Fi. Nothing had happened, but nothing was stopping it either. The fix was a separate segment for the firm, its own firewall rules, and a backup that ran to a destination the building had no access to — done over two evenings without a day of lost billable time.

The city's accounting and finance cluster. Small firms in mid-rise offices, mostly on good connections, with the usual mix of hosted ledger software and end-of-quarter pressure.
Southport
Law firms and barristers around the courthouse, plus medical suites. Document management, long retention and confidentiality are the recurring themes, and deadlines that genuinely cannot move.
Robina and Varsity Lakes
Professional services, medical practices and corporate satellite offices. Newer buildings and mostly FTTP, which means the network problems are internal rather than upstream.
Nerang, Ashmore and Coomera
Trades, manufacturers and transport, in industrial estates with offices attached. Coverage across a yard as well as a desk is the standard requirement.

What connection will a Robina office have?
Robina, Varsity Lakes and most of the newer Gold Coast precincts are FTTP, which means the internet is rarely the bottleneck. When something is slow there, it's usually the internal network, the Wi-Fi or an ageing machine rather than the connection.
