IT support for trades with an office

Half your business is in vehicles and the other half is one admin person running scheduling, invoicing and job management. We keep the office reliable, the crew connected from site, and the job management software working — because when it stops, quoting and invoicing stop with it.

What breaks most

  • Job management software unreachable from site, so jobs get written on paper again
  • Wi-Fi that stops at the roller door and drops out in the workshop
  • Tablets and phones set up differently by whoever bought them
  • Photos and site documents living on personal phones and nowhere else
  • One admin machine holding everything, with no backup

What we do about it

  • Job management and scheduling software support, office and field
  • Wi-Fi designed to cover the workshop and yard, not just the front office
  • Consistent setup for crew phones and tablets, including remote wipe if one is lost
  • Reliable remote access to the office system from site
  • Quoting and invoicing integrations that don't need re-entering twice

Software we see and support: simPRO, ServiceM8, Tradify, AroFlo, Xero and MYOB, plus the supplier portals your buying runs through.

The part most providers skip

The field is the business. An office fault is inconvenient; a crew that can't see the day's jobs at 6:30am costs you the morning. We prioritise field access accordingly, and we answer the phone before the office opens.

What working with us looks like

Every engagement starts the same way — an audit, then the fixes that carry the most risk, then a rhythm you stop having to think about.

Week one — audit, office and yard

The office machines, the admin person's setup, the job management system and how the crew actually reach it, plus a Wi-Fi survey that includes the workshop and the yard rather than stopping at the front desk.

Weeks two to four — the field first

Reliable remote access to job management from site, crew phones and tablets set up the same way, and remote wipe enabled before a device goes missing rather than after.

Then the office

The admin machine gets a real backup, the Wi-Fi gets access points cabled back to a switch instead of extenders, and quoting and invoicing integrations get checked so nothing is being typed in twice.

Ongoing — early starts covered

We answer before the office opens, because a crew that cannot see the day's jobs at 6:30am has already lost the morning. Monitoring runs overnight so most faults are cleared before anyone rings.

A job like yours

An electrical contractor at Loganholme was losing an hour most mornings because the crew could not load job details from the yard — the office Wi-Fi ended at the roller door, and everyone was burning mobile data on a patchy signal. Two outdoor-rated access points cabled back to the office switch fixed it in a day. The measurable change was not technical: quotes started going out the same afternoon instead of the next morning.

Questions from trades with an office

Can you get Wi-Fi across the whole yard?

Usually, yes. It needs access points chosen for outdoor or large-space coverage and cabled back to a switch, rather than an extender near the office door. We survey the site first so the quote reflects what the space actually needs.

What if a crew member loses a phone on site?

If devices are set up properly we remotely wipe the business data and get a replacement configured the same day. Doing that requires the setup to exist beforehand, which is one of the first things we put in place.

Do we need a plan if we only have three in the office?

Often yes, because the field crew depend on those three. A plan is priced per user, so a small office pays for a small number of users and still gets monitoring, backup and a number to call before the office opens.

Our job management software is slow from site. Is that fixable?

Usually, and usually it is not the software. It is either mobile coverage at that address, a bottleneck in the office connection everything routes back through, or an app configured to sync far more than it needs. We test all three from a real job site rather than from the office, then fix the one that is actually causing it.

Can you set up new crew phones so they all work the same?

Yes. We build one standard configuration — the job app, email, the supplier portals, security settings and remote wipe — and apply it to every device. A new starter is handed a working phone on day one, and a lost phone is wiped and replaced the same day instead of rebuilt from memory.

The services this usually involves

Network and Wi-Fi setup

Cabling, switches, business access points and a network that holds up when everyone is on a video call at once.

Microsoft 365

Email, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive set up properly, licensed correctly, and secured against the obvious attacks.

Computer repairs

Desktops, laptops and Macs fixed at your desk. Fixed quote before we start, and a loan machine if yours has to leave.
