Australia-wide remote IT support
We drive to the Redlands, Brisbane, Logan and the Gold Coast. We support businesses a good deal further away than that — remotely, on a written arrangement that is clear about the one thing distance genuinely changes.
The short answer
Remote-only support works anywhere in Australia for anything that is software, account or configuration related — which is most of it. What it cannot do is replace a drive. A remote-only client gets the same support and the same monitoring, plus an agreed plan for who provides local hands when something physical fails.
What you get, unchanged by distance
- A real technician on the session, in business hours
- Monitoring and patching on every machine
- Managed antivirus and security configuration
- Monitored, off-site backup with tested restores
- Microsoft 365 administration, licensing and mail flow
- New starter and leaver processes, run remotely
- One number, one person who already knows your environment
What distance actually changes
One thing, and pretending otherwise is how remote-only arrangements go wrong. So it is agreed in writing before you sign anything.
- Hardware failure needs local hands — a person to swap a drive, reseat a cable or press a button
- New cabling and network installation is local work
- A site with no internet cannot be reached at all
- Queensland does not observe daylight saving, so October–April we run an hour behind the southern states
Our usual approach: we diagnose remotely and brief a local technician properly, so they arrive knowing exactly what to do rather than starting from scratch at your expense. If you already have someone, we work with them.
Who this suits
Cloud-first offices
Microsoft 365, no server, laptops rather than desktops. Almost nothing about supporting you requires anybody to be in the building.
Distributed teams
Staff in three cities and no head office worth the name. A provider tied to one address was always the wrong shape for this.
Businesses that moved
You relocated and did not want to start again with someone who does not know your environment. This is the most common reason people end up on this page.
Regional businesses
Where the nearest provider is two hours away and charges for the drive. Remote support removes the travel line from every invoice.
Who it does not suit
A business with an on-premises server, ageing hardware and nobody within an hour of it. You need local hands on a retainer, and we will tell you that at the first conversation rather than after you have signed something.
Questions about remote-only support
Can you really support a business in another state?
For everything that is software, account or configuration related, yes — distance is irrelevant to a remote session. What we cannot do is stand in your server room. So a remote-only arrangement is written down at the start: what we cover, what needs local hands, and who those hands are going to be.
What happens when something physical breaks?
We diagnose it remotely, tell you exactly what is wrong and what part is needed, and then either work with a local technician you already use or help you find one and brief them properly. You are not paying us to fly anywhere, and you are not left describing a blinking light down a phone line.
Do you support us the same way outside South East Queensland?
Yes for remote — the same technicians, the same tools, wherever you are. Note that our business hours are Queensland time, which does not observe daylight saving. From October to April that puts us an hour behind Sydney and Melbourne, and it is worth knowing rather than discovering.
Do you take on remote-only clients, or only overflow work?
Both. Some are businesses that moved away and kept us; some found us because their local options were poor. We are honest about when a business is better served by someone down the road — if you have a server room and no one within an hour of it, you need local hands on a retainer, and we will say so.
How do you handle new machines for a remote client?
Shipped to the person, configured before it leaves or on first boot remotely, and a short session on their first morning. It works well, and it is often faster than a local provider who has to schedule a visit.
What about time zones and Western Australia?
Perth is two hours behind Queensland, so our afternoon is their late morning — which in practice works better than it sounds. For businesses that need cover in their own morning, that is an after-hours arrangement and it gets agreed up front.
